About This Portal

BGMEA ESG Data Disclosure Platform is developed to enable data-driven industrial decision-making by systematically collecting, managing, and analysing economic, environmental, and social performance data from the RMG sector. The platform supports factories in strengthening ESG performance and sustainability reporting while providing industry-level insights to guide strategic interventions, policy development, and continuous improvement, ultimately contributing to the achievement of BGMEA's Sustainability Vision 2030 and advancing a more responsible, resilient, and sustainable garment industry.

Mission

To strengthen Bangladesh's RMG sector through credible ESG data, enabling evidence-based decision-making, transparent performance tracking, and continuous improvement towards BGMEA's Sustainability Vision 2030.

Survey wave

All figures on this platform reflect the same 326-factory 2025-2026 survey wave — one fieldwork exercise that ran across two calendar years, not two separate annual snapshots. Every factory here is a registered BGMEA member (identified by its BGMEA ID) out of roughly 2,500 currently active registered members.

Geographic coverage spans Dhaka (116), Gazipur (104), Chattogram (72), and Narayanganj (24), with the remainder distributed across other districts.

Privacy & Anonymization

All public data is anonymized. Factory names, contact information, and precise GPS coordinates are never displayed in public views.

Factories are identified by anonymized codes (e.g. FAC-042). Individual factory profiles are only visible when a factory has opted in to public disclosure.

Benchmarking statistics require a minimum peer group of 10 factories to prevent re-identification through inference.
